Some cautions about waterfasting
It is not advised that pregnant women try waterfasting. Also not recommended for people with eating disorders or people who are under nourished.
If you experience hypertension, hypotension or diabetes water fasting is beneficial. However, it is more appropriate that fasting is carried out in your own home where you can have regular readings (of your blood pressure or blood sugar levels) and medication adjustment from your GP. Therefore, people with the above conditions are more appropriately supported at home with online or telephone support.
Preparation for the fast
An initial telephone session is mandatory to guide on preparing for fasting and to clarify your medical history. For some people they may prefer regular sessions to prepare and to benefit from support to make necessary dietary changes.
